Djerba is the place to shop in Tunisia

Come Shop In Tunisia.

Djerba is a town on an island in the south of Tunisia.

And the postage is very reasonable.

We sent back to Australia a 10 kg parcel for about $120 AU – it may have been a little more or a little less, but it was very reasonable.

Thanks to the owner of Oxala House where we stayed. You can read about that here.

He went to the post office and found out the rates and what we needed to do.

The post office is in the center of town and only open until 1 or 2 pm on Monday to Thursday I believe.

I bought a beautiful wool rug for the equivalent of $30 AU so we could pad out and wrap the contents safely.

We did need to find our own carton.

Here are some of the great things you can buy.

And of course, you are supporting Tunisia in a time of crisis.

So remember to bargain, but to be a fair bargainer too.

You can shop til you drop.
