Do you have any travel suggestions? I bet you do because when it comes to travel, it’s safe to say we all have at least a passing interest in this ‘storied hobby’. After all, travel truly has something for everybody – whether you want to see the sights, or to gain insight into one of the many cultures in the world, travel has no shortage of experiences to offer you.

As such, it’s a shame that we can’t all experience travel for ourselves. Luckily, these days, there are alternatives, ways to travel vicariously, as it were, via YouTube videos and travel documentaries, for example, that give us great travel suggestions.

However, for the rest of us, we owe it to the less fortunate to make the most of our travel experiences, and that starts with planning the perfect trip.

Here are some travel suggestions for unique and interesting vacation experiences for you to try out.

First and foremost, when we think of the words travel and vacation, we think of the beach, and for good reason. Beach vacations play to the strengths of the Summer season by offering a way to appreciate, and a way to avoid, the heat. However, I propose we move in the opposite direction, that we move into a colder climate.

Like the inverse of birds flying South for the Winter, why not fly north for the Summer, so to speak?

Instead of sunbathing or swimming, why not take out the snowmobile and shred some powder? Be sure to check out this video for inspiration and really make the most of this visceral sport. Another great way to make the most of a cold weather vacation is by skiing, of course. While less exciting than a snowmobile, skiing is a time-honored Winter sport, and snowboarding makes for an interesting, and less complicated, alternative.

Let’s not forget the relaxation element, either. There’s something truly special about the snow-covered mountainside at night, a roaring fire to keep you warm, and hot cocoa to drink.

Another way to make the most of travel is to arrange a sightseeing tour. These are a popular way to enjoy travel, as it gives you a built-in itinerary. For instance, if you’re going to Athens, you have to see the Parthenon, for example. Or, if you’re in Rome, you have to visit the Colosseum.

Speaking of these iconic European destinations, Europe is a popular place for sightseeing, as there is plenty on offer on this continent, and with the advent of the Euro, much of the continent is using the same currency, making it extremely convenient.

However, just about every culture has some iconic sights to behold, from monuments to simply interesting architecture. Some places, such as Ireland, hold prehistoric structures that defy explanation, such as Stone Henge.

Of course, man-made sights aren’t the only ones worth seeing. Plenty of natural vistas are sure to take your breath away, so don’t discount those!

As stated above, there’s something for everyone with travel, so be sure to choose the getaway that is the right fit for you, and make sure to have the best time you can.
