Where can you ride the longest waterslide in the world?
Waterbom, Bali lures us back again!
Only 2 months ago we were here having the time of our life, and when deciding where to spend our ‘school holidays’, Explorason requested Waterbom.
Why? Because it boasts the longest waterslide in the world, named the Constrictor.
The best place to view this giant beast is from the top, just before you are about to plunge yourself into the water stream that slithers your way over a quarter of a kilometre as you plunge into the pool below.
We decided this time we would just spend the morning having fun.
We’d use the Waterbom professional photographers to snap our adventures before noon, and we’d race around and just have quality Mum and Son time.
Later that day I did retrieve the camera from the locker, and we also used the Action Camera for some movies (so keep an eye out for them).
Explorason loves the Boomerang as it projects us skyward, and then descend with a rush. I lost count of the number of times we ended up on this ride.
I do recall screaming quite a few times, and it is a load of fun for young, and the not so young – like me:)
Massage and Beauty
This time here at Waterbom, the park seemed a little busier (it was the Australian school holidays after all), so it was late afternoon by the time the massage tables were free.
I am so surprised at how both parents and kids are catered for, and how inexpensive it all is.
There are a few wet surprises along the way, but overall it is a great way to rest your weary body after climbing a few waterslide towers.
But we loved it. They have double and single tubes you can ride on, and I think Explorason must have had at least ten turns on this ride.
Eating and Drinking
Soon it was time for lunch.
Our favourite last time was the fabulous Nachos and Banana Milk. I think we consumed three Banana Milks this time between us!
Waterbom is a cashless park. You pay at the start to put money on a wrist band, and use what you like, and refund the rest at the end. It is so easy, and meant that I could send Explorason off for a milkshake or ice-cream, with the worry of him having to carry around money, or lose the change.
It meant we tended to snack and grab drinks more readily. There are several restaurants and bars for those who want a beer.
There are also lovely fresh coconuts to drink from too.
In our usual form, the day ended with a turn on Euro Bungy, another of Explorason’s favourite, but being eleven years old, I am not surprised he loves this ‘dare-devil’ activity.
I think he managed to achieve a triple somersault, whilst I held the camera, and my breath.
We were really happy we’d had such a great day. Perfect weather, friendly service, and great food. But we were both definitely sad to leave.
Our two tired bodies left the park as we headed back to Ramada Encore Bali Seminyak.
Yes, it has been another great day, and another achievement riding the longest waterslide in the world!
For those of you who missed it, here is the tale of our last Waterbom adventure showing more of the rides available too.
