Head to the top floor for a fabulous city views. The lower-level floating market recreates authentic Thai flavours in sophisticated surroundings, perfect for leisurely exploration.

The Dior Café provides an effortlessly elegant setting for special occasions and is tucked inside Dior’s Gold House. Soft lighting and refined decor complement beautifully presented patisserie and beverages, creating an atmosphere of quiet indulgence. Mornings are less crowded as it opens at 10am and tables can be booked in advance – we recommend at least one to two weeks prior. Afternoon visits catch the best natural light through expansive windows, enhancing the sophisticated aesthetic. The attentive service and attention to detail make any milestone feel memorable, offering a peaceful interlude amid the city’s vibrancy. I celebrated my birthday with morning tea here and it was just beautiful. you can choose indoor seating as you are surrounded in wooden fine artistic woven creations on walls and ceilings, or out in the beautiful gardens under an umbrella.

Song Wat Road offers a quieter alternative to mainstream walking routes, with its colourful murals and graffiti providing artistic frames for stunning views of Wat Arun across the river. Many tourists gather along the river at sunset and there are a few places to grab a drink and sit. Make sure to wander down the alleyways for unique art and photography moments. The creative expressions you’ll find here feel fresh and contemporary, contrasting beautifully with the temple’s historic silhouette. It is an ideal spot for contemplative life as it reveals Bangkok’s evolving artistic spirit. We suggest going here first and then heading onto Chinatown. Yaowarat Road comes alive after dark with glowing neon signs and the irresistible aromas of street cuisine and is a great place if you love taking vivid photos. Old buses drive by, as monks do their shopping. Make sure to stay off the road when taking photographs as it is really easy to step out into oncoming vehicles. The energy is vibrant yet navigable, with standout stalls serving exceptional seafood, grilled meats, and traditional sweets. Navigating the lanes thoughtfully reveals hidden gems, capturing Bangkok’s nocturnal soul in authentic, unfiltered form. We walked here after Song Wat Road, meandering through back streets and stopping into two temples along the way for a few more photos.
10. Nextopia in Siam Paragon
Nextopia is one of Bangkok’s newest attractions. It occupies several upper levels of Siam Paragon with forward-thinking retail concepts and digital installations. Sleek design and innovative experiences create a modern contrast to the city’s traditional elements, appealing to those who appreciate cutting-edge luxury and technology seamlessly integrated. I visited here twice, as I enjoyed the staircases covered in greenery and giant flowers the most.
11. Lamaya Tiki Bar
Lamaya’s tropical ambiance is perfect for afternoon tea, dinner inside or expertly crafted cocktails we relaxed in this elevated evening escape. The exterior bar area has fire dancers, light up creative presentations and a killer city view. Make sure you can handle heights as you look out over the city, perched high above the buildings below. Premium ingredients used in their cocktails distinguish the signature drinks, while the tiki theme glasses and ceramic tumblers add a playful sophistication. This venue serves as a pleasant escape for unwinding with quality surroundings and thoughtful service. We came here late on the evening of my birthday and the entry ticket includes two drinks. After plenty of time outside, we moved inside for the live entertainment – a band with a fabulous singer that had the who crowd engaged in his performance.
