Visualization is the key to achievement and to attaining your goals – The Importance Of Visualization needs to be a matter of priority in your life.  When a person can clearly visualize where they are headed or what they want to achieve, they are far more likely not to deviate from the path.  They have their dream set firmly before them, and they work far more actively to achieve and to arrive at that point or place in their lives.  They plan, save, make decisions, and act AS IF that dream is an actual reality.   This helps both rich and poor to change their current situation and to move forward and is a tool luxury travel experts often use too.

In fact, world travel experts believe that it is crucial to have an image of your destination deeply engraved in your mind long before you embark on your journey. This helps you to psychologically prepare for what you are about to see and experience in that region. It helps you create excitement, hope, anticipation and mentally prepares you.  If it is a remote area or busy city, adapting to weather, language, food, and if life will be hustle and bustle or perfect relaxation.

It is for this reason that we have formed a habit of collecting pictures of the places we desire to visit and strategically decorating our abode.

By doing this, we have been able to have a unique experience of how our destination looks and feels like, long before we get there.

In fact, the very first tool that we used in preparing for our overseas world trip was a visualization board because we know the importance of visualization.

.  Both my son and I went through magazines and placed photographs of the places we hoped to visit and the things we wanted to do.  Explorason was keen on cities and included the Eiffel Tower in Paris, a photo of The Statue of Liberty and other iconic locations that his young mind related to.  He also placed a bright vintage car in the streets of Cuba and a few foods he enjoyed too.  For me, I longed to see the natives that were less affected by the western world, still rich in their traditions and cultures.

In hindsight, these visualization boards which we then decorated our home with became the springboard that helped us to move forward and to prepare for our journey. In other words, our Travel Bucket List.

Culture And Outfits Full Of Colour

Before you travel to any part of the world, it is important that you learn a little bit about the culture and tradition of the locals. This helps you avoid any cultural barriers that would hinder you from having some great time interacting with locals. If possible, you might want to have a taste of how it feels like to be in their shoes by getting traditional clothes and dressing like them once you get there. Some of the photos you can get from us include those of South African women dressed in their colorful dresses and lovely hats and that of Maasais from East Africa, dressed in their Maasai shukas and accessories. You do not have to develop culture shock when you get to your destination if this can be avoided by simple familiarizing yourself with the people’s culture long before your journey. And you can visualize yourself, right there with them!

Cuisine You Can’t Wait To Taste

Many travelers love food!  They desire to go on a ‘food-tasting-spree’ or ‘market walking tour’ whenever they are visiting a foreign land. It is an amazing experience to have a taste of some of the foods of the world and probably learn how they are made. It is through this that we find ourselves having an album of cuisines from all the countries we have been to. This means you can get a picture of the very delicious Cantonese cuisine as served in the city of Guangzhou in China or that of French cuisines taken during our Paris tour. You can also get photos of cuisines from Africa, America and other parts of Asia.  Great art for your kitchen and dining area too!

Attractions You Long To See

Are there specific monuments, buildings, animals or parks you would like to see if you could travel anywhere in the world? You might dream of Zanzibar beaches, or hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, Peru.  If you are journeying to East Africa, you might need a picture of the famous Maasai Mara and that of Wildebeasts, or my favorite the stunning back and white stripes of the Zebra.

Or, you might also need to have a picture of the Big 5.

This includes lion, leopard, rhinoceros (both black and white species), elephant, and Cape buffalo. You can also get a photo of Mt Kilimanjaro – Africa’s highest mountain. Imagine a sassy zebra cushion or a morning cuppa from a drinking mug or travel cup that shows your dream destination?  You can even wear fun clothing like leggings, dresses, skirts, and t-shirts all printed with your next dream destination.  This is visualization that goes with you throughout your day.  Or, you could get an image printed on your pencil case, drawstring or carry bags.

I must say that we loved wearing our giraffe, monkey and zebra t-shirts when we were on safari and in Africa.  It really made for great photographs and we were so pleased we had purchased them in advance, as we just didn’t find anything for sale when we arrived that was fashionable for each of us.

Dreaming Of Your Vacation Location
