Treated like royalty at Riad Hiba Meknes Morocco
Prior to our arrival in Meknes, the taxi driver rang ahead to this Riad.
When we arrived, they sent a man to come and assist us with our bags, and to find the hotel.
It is one street off the main road, and right at the start of the Medina. An excellent location, and an easy to walk to the Big Square.
We were instantly impressed with the manager, and he showed us around the 17th-century building.
Our suite had 2 double beds and a separate social lounge area inside.
And an en-suite.
We had a large flat screen TV and air-conditioning.
All rooms open out to a large central courtyard.
There is a King’s Suite, and the wood paneling detail is incredible.
This was too small for us, but we were in fact offered it and had a great chance to view it, as well as other rooms.
Breakfast is served on the Terrace where there are 3 levels to choose from.
The service is impeccable and with style.
Should it rain there is also an inside room that has a beautiful breeze.
The top Terrace area is just fantastic to sit and sip a glass of Moroccan Mint Tea in the evening and to watch the world go by, and the twinkle of city lights. We also enjoyed coming up here to view the cats on the opposite roof.
We were impressed by the helpfulness of the staff. One lady too Explorafriend to a Haman and stayed to watch her bag.
They also met us at the Souks and assisted us in making some great purchases.
Meknes was probably my favorite place to stay out of all of Morocco.
I’m so glad Riad Hiba was recommended to us, and I’d recommend it as a 10/10 for value, service, and location in access to the Medina.
