Hidden Paradise in Ulcinj Montenegro

Hidden Paradise in Ulcinj Montenegro

Today we have driven from the mountains of Montenegro and I am tired. I want to get to Albania but something makes me feel uneasy and so we look for accommodation.

I follow a sign before we get to Ulcinj that says Pansion Vongola

The sun is soon to set and it is nice to stop.

Oh, we have found a hidden paradise!

We set up the room and have a quick drink.

Explorason wants to go to the beach.

So down the steps, we go to an alcove area of the beach.

It is just beautiful.

We find a little cave and we sit and watch the sunset through a hole in the rocks.

Breakfast is under the grape vines. The soft breeze is blowing.  The check table clothes give this place a real Mediterranean feel.

After breakfast, we head off for a walk. There is a pretty little cove further along, and Explorason is enjoying throwing more pebbles.

There is a hotel further around and we talk to the staff. Explorason goes for a swim. It is just so beautiful! Words cannot describe this place.

The owner offers to take us for a “bay tour” in his boat.

There is a flock of seagulls that give us a really good show as we motor around.  The water is almost transparent to the seabed in some areas.

The owner and his daughter both speak English, so we get a good explanation of the area too.

It is just breathtakingly beautiful.  In fact, it is so great we decided we want to stay a second night.  We have heard from our friends in Albania and we have missed them, so we have a night we can relax now.

Exploramum and Explorason – clear waters

That afternoon we get to relax under the umbrella for a while. I’m not into suntanning anymore, but the sun is nice and warm, and so it feels good.

Soon the sun is starting to set. Where has the day gone?

Both Explorason and I have loved our day.  We think the owners are so nice too.

We chat with the owners and I really want to return here again.  I have never been to such a lovely little bay.

The next day as we leave the owner helps us find a mechanic as one of our headlights is not functioning. Then he helps us find a bank. Then he guides us to the start of the road to the border of Albania.

This place is a five-star service, at a five-star location.

I definitely want to return!

Thanks, Pansion Vongola for a wonderful time and sharing your little corner of the world.
